AEO Inspector is built and run by Orion CMD LLC, a small software company in Omaha, Nebraska, USA.

It answers one question: can AI answer engines and agents find, read and cite your website? A free check fetches your site the way AI crawlers do (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, OAI-SearchBot and others), reads the robots.txt rules for 21 AI crawlers, checks what's there without JavaScript, validates structured data, and gives you fixes you can paste in. The $9 report asks 16 AI engines real questions about your category and shows who they mention and cite.

It works without an account and without JavaScript. AI agents can use it too, over an API and an MCP server, paying per call with x402.
